We all experience stress, anxiety, and sometimes overwhelm. Parents are faced with great responsibilities with raising their children. Self-care is important because it allows us to show up in the world with balance and well-being, and the teachings of the Medicine Circle can help us move forward in a good way everyday.
The Medicine Circle is divided into four quadrants that represent our Emotions, Mind, Body, and Spirit. We can put ourselves in the centre of the circle and check its balance daily to see what we may be missing and making us feel out of sorts.
The Medicine Circle can help us to be fully present, commit to ourselves, practice discipline, and give us permission to rest. It can also guide us through reflection on the 4 Questions:
• Who am I?
• Where am I from?
• Why am I here? and
• Where am I going?
We all have a sacred duty to gather tools to help us cope and find our strength, and we can do this through simple, daily practices.
